I am a very energetic and passionate young teacher who has finally made it back out to Colorado. I have worked happily for the past four years at Oxford Preparatory Academy in Chino, CA. I look to bring my enthusiasm and ever-growing love for teaching to my life’s new location.

Classroom Teacher - Oxford Preparatory Academy

2012 - present

Hired as a 7th grade teacher after my Master’s coursework was completed. Transitioned to 5th grade for the next two years. Worked with classes of up to 34 in all subject areas. Oversaw the transition to Common Core Standards and implemented the use of Chromebooks in the classroom. Finished my third year as an important part of an excellent staff while training a student teacher. Due only to a lifelong dream of moving back to Colorado, spent my fourth year teaching online for OPA from Colorado. Missing the classroom and looking to find my way back to my passion.

2011 - 2012

Retained as a substitute following my student teaching assignment. Worked with my student teaching class as well as assignments in all grades K - 5.

Placed in a 3rd grade classroom where I immediately aided in adding technological components to my Master Teacher’s lessons. Worked in concert with the other 3rd grade classes to implement an interactive and comprehensive space shuttle unit.
