Each classroom in our school chose a university to pair with to ensure our students were consistently thinking about college. I chose the University of Oregon. My students and I dove in deep. From my classroom rules and culture to our constant focus on quality work befitting a college student, we were Ducks through and through. One way to keep my students engaged in this was to create videos highlighting our work and our cohesion with the University of Oregon. The three videos you see below were created by our class. The momentum each took off with was fun for my students to experience. Each was featured in its own way and made my respective students feel like superstars.

- The first video was written about on the University of Oregon's website.

- The second video was also written about by the University of Oregon. We used the base of a Shakira song and sent it to her as well...but the video must have gotten lost in the mail on the way to her...

- The third video was sent to the Oregon football team and featured on the Oregon website as well as on ESPN.

Call Me a Duck (OPA Style)

As a reward for some of my students I started filming a recreation of a famous University of Oregon music video titled "Call Me a Duck". Eventually my entire class eagerly wated to be a part of it. We sent this video to Oregon and had it written about on the UO website as seen here.

After the success of our first video, my students asked if we could do another one. They had to earn each segment of filming with classroom behavior and achievement and eventually completed this video.

During the run of Marcus Mariota (Oregon QB) for Heisman, my students and I created a video showing our support of an Oregon athlete we looked up to. Based of the hit song(?) "Turn Down for What", this video was featured on ESPN.
